A LETTER FROM THE PASTOR

Beloved brothers and sisters in the Lord,

As we lay down foundations as a fledgling church, I am reflecting on the challenges that we have faced as a nation and as a church. We have seen a rise in moral relativism, a decline in religious faith, and a rise in political polarization. These are just a few of the challenges that make it difficult to live faithful lives in the last days.

The Bible tells us that we are living in the "last days" (1 John 2:18). This means that we are living in a time when there will be widespread deception and wickedness. The apostle Paul warned us about this in 2 Timothy chapter 3, where he said that people in the last days would be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unkind, and unforgiving.

 text.

We are seeing this manifest rebellion against God in our culture today. We see it in the way that people are living their lives, the way that they are treating each other, and the way that they are viewing the world. We see it in the rise of abortion, same-sex marriage, and other forms of immorality being not only accepted but called good.

In the midst of all of this, it can be difficult to know how to live a faithful life. But the Bible gives us hope and guidance. It tells us that we can be strong in our faith if we stay close to God (Joshua 1:9). It tells us that we can be wise and discerning if we meditate on the Word of God (Psalm 1:1-3). And it tells us that we can overcome temptation and sin if we rely on the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:13).

So, how can we live faithful lives in the last days? Here are a few things that we can do:

· Stay close to God. This means spending time in prayer, reading the Bible, and worshiping Him. When we are close to God, we are better equipped to resist temptation and to live in accordance with His will.

· Be doers of the word, not just hearers. This means putting what we learn from the Bible into practice in our lives. When we do this, we will be living a life that is pleasing to God and that will make a difference in the world.

· Be salt and light in the world. This means being a positive influence in our communities and showing others the love of Christ. When we do this, we can make a difference in the world and help to bring about the kingdom of God.

If you are struggling to live a faithful life, I encourage you to come to God in a spirit of repentance and receive the gift of salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. Then find a body of believers, like The Sanctuary, where you will challenged to dive deep into the Word of God and to mature within the community of believers.

In closing, I want to encourage you to pray, reflect, and repent. Ask God to help you to live a faithful life in the last days. Ask Him to give you strength and courage to resist temptation and to live in accordance with His will. And ask Him to forgive you of any ways in which you have been living in disobedience to Him.

Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation. He is the one who can give us the strength and grace that we need to live faithful lives. So, turn to Him in faith and trust that He will help you to overcome the challenges that you face.

Sincerely,

Jesús Laboy
